ABOUT CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY (CST)

CranioSacral Therapy (CST), a gentle hands-on technique also known as Cranial Sacral therapy, involves a light touch to examine and manipulate the membranes and fluids in and around the central nervous system. This approach, using a soft touch no greater than 5 grams – about the weight of a nickel – helps release restrictions in the craniosacral system. Such treatment has been shown to enhance the functioning of the central nervous system and benefit various bodily systems including digestive, musculoskeletal, respiratory, and circulatory.

CST is particularly effective in addressing the physical aspects of conditions such as Post Traumatic Stress, depression, and anxiety. It focuses on gently manipulating the body’s connective tissue, or “fascia,” a network covering organs, glands, nerves, muscles, blood vessels, brain, and spinal cord. This method promotes well-being by alleviating pain and boosting health and immunity.

During the treatment, clients remain clothed and are advised to wear loose fitting clothes to facilitate ease of movement and relaxation.

Cancellation Policy:
A cancelled/rescheduled appointment with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 50% of the cost of the service.
​A "No-Call/No-Show" for a scheduled appointment will be charged the full amount of the scheduled treatment price.

COUNTER-INDICATIONS FOR CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

CST is NOT appropriate for everyone. If you have experienced the conditions below, you must receive clearance from a physician to receive CST:
  • Cerebral swelling
  • Brain aneurysm
  • Blood clots
  • RECENT traumatic brain injury​
  • Structural defects in the cerebellum such as Arnold-Chiari malformation
  • Any disorder that causes instability of cerebral fluid pressure, flow or build-up
